International Women's Day 2021 - The Front Steps Project
Continuing with celebrating International Women’s Day, meet Emma of Emma van Dort Photography. Emma has recently launched an amazing project to support cancersupport.ch (ESCA), an English-speaking association based in Geneva, after her sister’s breast cancer diagnosis and inspired by #thefrontstepsproject.
Many of us have been in a situation where we have had to watch a loved one receive difficult health news and deal with life-changing illnesses. It is so hard to know how to show support. It is particularly hard when you can’t physically be there for that person. I can’t imagine how difficult it must have been for Emma to learn about Jo’s diagnosis with the travel constraints of Covid. However, she found a way to raise breast cancer awareness, support a local cancer charity and bring some joy in these isolating times.
Based near Geneva, Emma will come to your front door and snap a five-minute “Front Steps Portrait”. She will send you the digital file and all you need to do is donate a fair sum to CancerSupport.ch. Having met Emma virtually, I guarantee you will have a fun photoshoot!
Emma can visit Geneva, Nyon, Gland, Rolle, and the surrounding local villages. Visit the CancerSupport fundraiser’s page for more details about this fantastic project!
